RITES HELD FOR MRS. LAKOSE

Mrs. Elizabeth LaKose, 65, died at her home in Brooklyn Wednesday morning, Oct.10.

The daughter of August and Marie Saey DeVilder, she was born in Brooklyn March 26, 1908. She was married to Morris LaKose Feb.9, 1927, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Following their marriage, they farmed near Brooklyn and later in the Montezuma area. They retired in 1967 when they moved into Brooklyn. Mr. LaKose died in 1969.

Survivors include one son, Marvin of Tacoma, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Marjorie) Van Hamme of Victor; two brothers, Frank DeVilder and Lewis DeVilder, both of Brooklyn; three sisters, Mrs. Augusta DeLoof and Mrs. Ed (Clara) Blomme, both of Brooklyn, and Mrs. Irving (Mary) Steinberg of Kewanee, Ill.; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, and three brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs. LaKose were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn, with the Rev. Fr. Patrick McCow, pastor of the church, officiating. A rosary was said at 8 p.m. Friday in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn.
