RAYMOND FLINT

Raymond H. Flint, 89, of 601 Eleventh Ave., Grinnell, died Sunday, March 18, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond C. Lott, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist was Alice Renaud.

Pallbearers were Melvin Barthelman, Barry Flint, Ron Huff, Bob McClure, Jim Van Donselaar and Roger Van Donselaar. Honorary bearers were Glen Barthelman, Larry Barthelman, Dale Flint and David Flint. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Grinnell United Methodist Church.

The son of Edwin and Mary Hollingsworth Flint, he was born Feb. 8, 1901, in Tilton. He attended public schools in Tilton.

He was married to Frances Huff Feb. 17, 1934, in Grinnell. The couple farmed near Deep River, and in 1941 they moved to Seattle, Wash. Mr. Flint worked as a machinist for Kenwork Motors in Seattle until his retirement in 1966. The couple retired to Grinnell in 1975.

Surviving are his wife and a sister, Mazie Flint of Oskaloosa. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Edwin; and two sisters, Lorena Taylor, and Lois Flint.
