MARTIN MCKIBBEN CALLED BY DEATH

Martin McKibbin, 64, died at his home at 721 Spring street Saturday evening, following an illness of several months. The funeral services were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Presbyterian church, with Rev. W.J. Stewart in charge. Burial was at Hazelwood.

Mr. McKibben was born in Clinton county and has made his home in and around Grinnell for the past 40 years. For many years he worked at the Blue Bird and for two years was janitor at the city offices. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, and six step-children. His daughter is Mrs. Mildred Duncan, and the step-children are Mrs. Mary Hittle of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Leona Fry of Albia, Mrs. Hazel Leonard of Des Moines, John Gier of Oskaloosa, Jake Gier of Fremont and Mrs. Stella Anglin of Los Angeles.

NOTE: McKibbin/McKibben is found spelled both ways in this obituary.
