THELMA MAGEE SERVICES TODAY

Mrs. Thelma E. Magee, 61, wife of Armour Magee of Holiday Lake, Brooklyn, died Wednesday afternoon in University Hospitals, Iowa City.

The daughter of Eugene and Mabel Young Chase, she was born March 3, 1922, in Jessup, Iowa. She was married to Armour Magee on Aug. 23, 1946, in Manchester, Iowa. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Waterloo, living there until July of last year when they moved to Holiday Lake.

Mrs. Magee was a member of the Kimball Ave. United Methodist Church of Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Craig of Omaha, Nebr., and Paul of Eldorado, Ark.; her mother Mrs. Mabel Chase of Independence; one brother, Eugene Chase of Wichita, Kan.; six sisters, Mrs. Virginia Rathbun of Waterloo, Mrs. Arlene Rathbun of Wisconsin, Mrs. Ruth Kurth of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Grace Taylor of Cedar Rapids, Miss Jane Chase of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Mabel Bantz of Independence, and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services for Mrs. Magee were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Monday) at the Nevenhoven Funeral Home in Brooklyn, with the Rev. J. Arthur Eveland, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in *Kent Cemetery.
