MR. OLTROGGE SERVICES HELD

Louis W. Oltrogge, 80, of 1531 Hobart St., Grinnell, died Thursday morning at St. Francis Manor, where he had been hospitalized the past few weeks.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Malcom, with the Rev. Gerald F. Brown officiating. Organist was Teresa Ahrens and flower bearers were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ahrens and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Beck. Pallbearers were Raymond Cadden, Robert Fuerst, Larry Loftin, Bernard Nagel, William Nagel, and Walter Oltrogge.

Burial was at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Should friends desire, memorials in Mr. Oltrogge's name may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church.

The son of Henry and Mae Pickhardt Oltrogge, he was born March 25, 1897, in Sheridan Township. He attended rural school near the family farm, and he continued to farm northeast of Grinnell all his life.

On March 5, 1947, he was married to Iydella N. Lucas at the Trinity Lutheran Church. In 1971, Mr. and Mrs. Oltrogge moved to Grinnell.

Survivors include his wife, Iydella; four sisters, Mrs. William (Mabel) Fuerst, Mrs. Marvin (Elma) Lytton of Statesville, N.C., Mrs. Marie Plum of Rte. 3, Grinnell, and Mrs. William (Louise) Nagel of Rte. 3, Grinnell; and a brother, Eldon Oltrogge of Rte. 3. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Fredrick Oltrogge.
