NORMA R. HAMOR, 93

Norma Ruth Hamor, 93, of Inverness, Fla., and formerly of Montezuma, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007 at Avante Nursing Home in Inverness.

A celebration of life memorial service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the First United Methodist church, Okeechobee, Fla. Interment was at the Florida National Cemetery on Dec. 26.

Norma was born July 26, 1914, in Ellerbee, N.C. to Rob Roy and Ina Mae (Smith) Stubbs. She graduated from high school in Charlotte, N.C., and married Clarence Hamor on April 11. 1943. They lived in Montezuma from 1960 to 1981 and were members of the First Presbyterian Church before retiring to Okeechobee, Fla. In 2000, they moved to Inverness. She loved to study her bible and enjoyed writing letters to her many friends and family members.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Clarence; daughters Sandy (Allen Judd) of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and Brenda (Ken) Spilios of Inverness; three grandchildren, Jill Pearson (Dave), Oronoco, Minn., Michael Spilios and Emily Spilios, Inverness; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Megan and Grace Pearson.

Norma was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
