FINAL RITES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR BILL PAULSEN

Funeral services for D.W. "Bill" Paulsen were held Wednesday afternoon from James Funeral Home with Rev. Leland Mann officiating. Paulsen died May 30 following an illness of many years. He was 43 years old.

At the final rites Mrs. Irving Howell, Mrs. Melvin Van Wechel and Mrs. Don Cunningham were the flower committee and pallbearers were Irvin R. Howell, Melvin Van Wechel, Thomas Sawyers, David Ross, L.G. Keeney and R.H. Potts.

Burial was at Hazelwood cemetery.

An executive of the Farmers Mutual Reinsurance Company of Grinnell, Paulsen had been with the company 15 years. He had been named secretary of the firm shortly before illness struck four years ago.

Native of Kiron, Iowa, he came to Grinnell in 1937 and with the exception of three years while serving in the Armed forces, had resided here since.

He was a member of the Congregational church.

Surviving are his wife, Agnes; two children, Patricia and John; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Paulsen of Grinnell; and two sisters, Genevieve of Grinnell and Mrs. Leslie(Florence) Morrison of Kenosha, Wis.
