Obituary

Edith Margret Sanders Hockey was born on May 25th, 1904 to Frances Elizabeth and Otho M. Sanders near Montezuma and departed this life Sept. 2nd, 1983 at age 79 yrs.

She grew to womanhood in this vicinity and early in life professed her faith in Christ and expressed it by love and devotion to all those who came under His care.

On Dec. 25, 1922 she was united in marriage to Eddie A. Hockey in Montezuma, Ia. (M E Church). To this union was born two children, Frances Elizabeth Howell, now of Denver , Colorado, and Stanley E. Hockey of Newton, Ia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers. Two sisters remain. Dorothy Ladely of Montezuma and Marjorie Elliott of Newton, Iowa. Her two children with their family of her grandchildren who have won lasting friendships of love and comfort by her trust in the Lord’s Promises.
