MYRTLE MAY PRINCEHOUSE

Myrtle May Princehouse was born October 15, 1878, in Poweshiek county, Iowa. She made her home near her birthplace until November, 1903, she went to Los Angeles, California where she remained for about a year, when she went to San Francisco to live. She was in the awful earthquake which befell the city on the morning of April 18, 1906 and only escaped with her life after enduring many hardships, but lost nearly all her belongings in the fire which followed the earthquake.

She remained in California until just five weeks ago she went to Medical Lake, Washington to visit for a time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Princehouse. She was only sick three weeks but her sufferings during that time were intense. She passed from this life on Thursday morning, September 26, at 8:50 of typhoid fever, aged 28 years, 11 months and 19 days. She leaves to mourn her untimely death her father and mother, two sisters and one brother, also a host of friends and other relatives. All that willing hands and medical skill could provide was done toward her recovery, but it seemed that the Lord had called and her spirit took flight into the other world.

The funeral was held from the Orin White residence 519 Broad street, at 10:30 Sunday morning the services being conducted by Rev. Elias Handy pastor of the M.E. church. Interment was made in Hazelwood cemetery.

To those who showed their sympathy by kindly assistance and floral tribute in the hour of our deepest affliction in the loss of our beloved daughter, sister and relative, Myrtle May Princehouse, we extend our sincerest thanks.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Princehouse.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. F. Robb.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. B. Webster.
Perley Princehouse and relatives.
