MRS. PROBASCO SERVICES SET

Elaine Probasco, 46, of Rte. 2, Grinnell, died Friday morning at Grinnell General Hospital following a lingering illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Probasco will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sam Reaves, pastor of the Grinnell Assembly of God Church, officiating. Organist will be Irene Bryan, and vocalist will be Ruth Ann Dayton. Pallbearers will be Frank Brown, Virgil Doud, Lloyd Durr, Kenneth Keenan, Allan Moyer and Richard Saunders. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials in Mrs. Probasco's name may be made to the Grinnell Fire Department's "Jaws of Life" fund drive.

The daughter of Paul and Marie Wilson Davis, she was born Oct. 31, 1932, at Gilman. She moved with her family to Putnam County, Mo., and attended rural schools near Unionville, Mo.

On Feb. 10, 1951, she was married to Ronald Probasco at Unionville. The family moved to Albia, then came to Grinnell in 1951.

Mrs. Probasco was employed for two years as a bus driver for the Grinnell-Newburg schools. She was a member of the Victor Grange and the Howard Davis Band.

Survivors include her husband; her children, Mrs. Michael (Cathy) Shutts of Grinnell, Dale Probasco of Grinnell, Marty Probasco of Hartwick, and Patsy and Lynn Probasco, both of the family home; five grandchildren; her parents; three sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Mary Ruth) Routier of Lake Ponderosa, Mrs. Dwain (Louise) Hudson of Centerville, and Mrs. Ilene Bork of Houston, Tex.; and two brothers, Keith Davis of Grinnell and Howard Davis of Gilman.
