MRS. MCCLURE RITES TUESDAY

Lillian F. McClure,75, of the Mayflower Home died Saturday, June 12, at the Mayflower Home Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Victor, with the Rev. Jack Weida officiating. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery here. Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home.

Memorials in Mrs. McClure's name may be made to the Hillcrest Family Services, 2005 Asbury Road, Dubuque.

The daughter of James B. and Wilhemina O'Neill Huff, she was born Jan. 3, 1907, at Clear Lake. She moved to Grinnell with her family and was a 1925 graduate of Grinnell High School. She attended Asbury College at Wilmore, Ky., and Parsons College at Fairfield and was graduated from the former John Fletcher College at University Park.

On June 4, 1929, she was married to Eugene L. McClure in Grinnell. The Rev. and Mrs. McClure served Methodist churches in several Iowa communities from 1929 to 1943. During World War II Mrs. McClure lived in Grinnell while her husband served in the military. From 1954 to 1966 she assisted her husband who served as an administrator in Methodist children's institutions throughout the country. They served the Victor Methodist Church before moving to Grinnell in 1971.

Mrs. McClure was a member of the Grinnell United Methodist Church and was active in the women's society of the church. She was also a member of the D.A.R.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Eugene McClure of the Mayflower Home; her children, Lloyd McClure of Klamath Falls, Ore., Ruth Snell of McFarland, Calif., and Robert P. McClure of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Lee O'Neill of Eagle Point, Ore.; and three sisters, Frances Flint and Lois Van Donselaar, both of Grinnell, and Helen Speas of Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Paul, Glenn, Ronald and Robert Huff; and one sister, Jane Harper.
