OBITUARY

MRS. H.O. SHAW

Lillie May Clayworth Shaw, daughter of Josie and Joseph Clayworth was born near Kellogg, Ia., on August 19, 1875. While she was still a girl the famiy moved to Grinnell.

She was united in marriage to Herbert Oren Shaw on November 27, 1894 in the Salvation Army building at Grinnell. In their youth both Mr. and Mrs. Shaw were officers in the Salvation Army.

The couple united with the Methodist church in Grinnell, where they were faithful members until moving to Rock Rapids in 1945, when they united with the church here.

Survivors are her husband; three children, Wendell Harris Shaw of Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. Francis Chase (Nellie) of Ames; and Mrs. Glen Richards (Hester) of Rock Rapids; a brother, J.E. Clayworth of Kansas City, Mo.; eight granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.

Rev. Paul Huscher conducted the funeral services. Burial was at Riverview cemetery.

Pallbearers were Orie Kline, George Ockenga, Harold Ludvigson, August Heinsma, Leon Pettengill and Nate George.
