DORA E. CADDEN

Dora Elizabeth Cadden, 83, Anaheim, Calif., formerly of Grinnell, died Sunday, Sept. 13, at Anaheim Terrace Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Grinnell, with the Rev. Dr. Anthony G. Farrell, pastor of the church, officiating. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Cadden, Gregory, Jeff and Patrick McDonald, Steve Sandberg and Dan Timm. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn.

The daughter of Charles H. and Jessie May Jellison Dowell, Mrs. Cadden was born July 17, 1909, in Fall City, Minn. She moved with her family to Cohasset, Minn., where she attended school. She was married to Patrick G. Cadden, April 28, 1926, in State Center. They lived near Brooklyn before moving to Grinnell in 1956. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by three daughters Margaret Sandberg, San Diego, Calif.; Dorothy Dodson, Anaheim, Calif., and Colleen McDonald, Cedar Rapids; one son, Donald Cadden, Grinnell; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and three sisters, Dorothy Babbitt, Portland, Oregon; Blanche Shuck, Fresno, Calif., and Edith Thompson, Salem, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Patrick (Raymond) Cadden, and one brother, Charles H. Dowell.
