OBITUARY.

LATIN LEWIS

Latin Lewis was born April 11, 1848, in Wayne county, Ky., and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.C. Garrett, on West street, March 24, 1919, being 70 years, 11 months and 15 days old.

The deceased came to Iowa about fifty years ago where he has lived most of his life. He was married to Jane Ryan, March 8, 1871. To this union were born nine children, of which four are living. His wife, four children, four grandchildren and other relatives are left to mourn his loss.

He united with the Primitive Baptist church 25 years ago and was a member of the organization until his death.
