RICHARD E. O'HARA

Richard E. O'Hara, 66, of Kellogg died of heart failure Saturday, May 20, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, with Fr. Philip Cardenzana, parochial vicar, officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, with the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 5, 1934, in Grinnell to Clyde and Roxie Hall O'Hara. He attended Grinnell High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was married to Shirley Phyllis Baustian June 26, 1953, in Grinnell.

Mr. O'Hara worked as a warehouse forklift operator for the Maytag Co. in Newton, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving are two sons, John of Norwalk and Patrick of Newton; one daughter, Courtney Sell of Round Rock, Texas; four grandchildren; two sisters, Colleen Keenan and Karen Stevens, both of Grinnell; and one brother, Thomas of Panora.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
