DIED.

WILLIAM RALF.

Stricken by apoplexy, William Ralf passed away at his home, 321 High St., at 4 o'clock on Wednesday morning, aged 54 years, one month and 15 days. Mr. Ralf had felt fine the evening before, had eaten a hearty supper and attended the service in the Baptist church in the evening. He retired seemingly in his usual health, but later his wife was awakened by his heavy breathing, and by the time help could be summoned, he was past help.

The funeral was held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from the residence, conducted by Rev. L.D. Weyand. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

OBITUARY.

WILLIAM N. RALF.

William N. Ralf was born in Mocano, Illinois, July 28, 1857. He came with his parents when 8 years of age to Grinnell where he resided until the final summons came. He was united in marriage to Hannah Wishart April 28th, 1881. To this union were born five sons and one daughter. Two of the sons preceded their father to the other world. A loving wife, four children and one brother mourn his departure.

Mr. Ralf was an employe of the Spaulding Manufacturing Co. He was a faithful member of the Baptist church. He also belonged to the Knights of Pythias, who attended in a body and took part in the memorial services.

The funeral was held at the home at 321 High street, Friday, September 15, L.D. Weyand officiating. Mr. Ralf was a friend to everyone.
