SON OF FORMER DEEP RIVER RESIDENT IS KILLED BY AUTO

Montezuma Republican: James Seaton, who at present resides at Spencer, but was formerly a resident of Deep River, brought the remains of his seven-year-old son to the old home, Tuesday for burial. The circumstances surrounding the little fellow's death are indeed sad.

Mr. Seaton was in and around Sioux Rapids Sunday visiting friends and he met some of them on the road, also in a car, and stopped to talk. The little boy climbed out and started to run across the road to the other car. Mr. Seaton did not see him and was ignorant of any accident until the boy was picked up by Dr. Henderson, who was driving a high power car and struck the child as he attempted to cross the road.

The skull was crushed and death was instantaneous. The father, who buried his wife a few years ago has the sympathy of many friends.
