Mrs. Wilsterman buried Saturday

Services for Mrs. Doris L. Wilsterman were held at the Steffy Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, June 19, with the Rev. James T. Ross officiating. Music was provided by soloist Betty Snook and Organist Alice Underwood.

Casket bearers were Jack Wolfe, William Tish, Lawrence Tish, Jim Calhoun, Robert Wolfe and Henry Dontje. Burial was in Jackson Township Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilsterman, 78, died Thursday, June 17, at the Senior Home here.

The daughter of William P. and Jennie Belle Alderman Tish, she was born Nov. 2, 1903, near Jacobs Switch in Poweshiek County. She was married to Alzie Wilsterman at the Little Brown Church at Nashua Jan. 21, 1939. They lived at Montezuma and Grinnell before moving to the Senior Home. She had been a telephone operator at Montezuma and a sewing machine operator at Grinnell.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Earl (Betty) Vogelaar of Newton, 4 stepgrandchildren, a brother, Harry Tish, of Swea City, 2 sisters, Mabel Wolfe of Oskaloosa and Nellie Thompson of Beaverton, Ore.

Her husband died in 1978. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Walter and Tracy Tish, and 2 sisters, Alice Wolfe and Winnie Calhoun Smith.
