CORA RICHMAN

Services for Mrs. Cora Richman, 94, of Brooklyn, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28 at First United Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn. Mrs. Richaman died March 26 at Brookhaven Nursing Home.

Rev. Lynn Williams, pastor, and the Rev. Glenn Hulsebus of Montezuma, will officiate. Organist will be Mrs. Nina Bartachek. Flower attendants will be Mrs. Ferne Saylor, Mrs. Valetta Fowler, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Montgomery and Mr. and Mrs. Max Montgomery.

Casket-bearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Brad Goodrich, Brett Richman, Larry Goodrich, Richard Richman, Thomas Goodrich, Rollin Richman and Wayne Ross. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Brooklyn, with the Nevenhoven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Cora Roseanna Montgomery Richman, daughter of James and Mary Jane Crawford Montgomery, was born Feb. 13, 1890, on a farm north of Brooklyn in Bear Creek Township. She received her education in a rural school. On July 22, 1914, she was united in marriage to Ray A. Richman in the Presbyterian Manse in Brooklyn. They farmed near Brooklyn until they moved into Brooklyn in February, 1945.

Mrs. Richman became a member of the First United Presbyterian Church June 4, 1907, and has remained a member since. She was a member of the Rebekahs since April 12, 1911, and was a past noble grand. She was active in church circles and Tri-C.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth of Brooklyn; one daughter, Mrs. Lotus (Irene) Goodrich of Malcom; one brother, Edwin Montgomery of Brooklyn; two sisters, Mrs. Austin (Eva) Reynolds of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Rollin (Nina) Edelen of Estherville; five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Richman was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died in 1967, one granddaughter, four brothers and two sisters.
