W.V. DAVIES IS BURIED HERE

Funeral services for W.V. Davies were held from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. A.B. Cadwell. The body was laid to rest in Hazelwood cemetery beside his wife.

Pallbearers were: Louis Ent, Horace Ent, V.G. Preston, James Reagen, F.F. Clindinin and R.T. Shelley. Singers were Mrs. A.B. Cadwell and Mrs. Roscoe Dempster.

William Vaughn Davies was born Sept. 22, 1860 at Ammanford, South Wales. He lived in Grinnell for thirty-two years, the last ten years having been spent with his daughter, Mrs. Helen Cook, in Chicago.

Mr. Davies was very active in the Methodist church here, having charge of the choir for many years. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Helen Cook, and one son, Fred, both of Chicago.

Mr. Davies passed away suddenly in Chicago, Sunday, Jan. 18, 1931, after a brief illness.
