FUNERAL OF MRS. SCHULTZ HELD SUNDAY

Elizabeth Wentzel Schultz, wife of the late C.F. Schultz, was born in Germany Aug. 22nd, 1852. At the age of 21 She came with her father to Princeton, Ill. Shortly after, she arrived at Malcom, Iowa, where she was united in marriage to C.F. Schultz.

All her married life was spent in the country north-east of Grinnell.

Seven years ago the aged couple moved to Grinnell to enjoy the remainder of their days. Their daughter, Ida, was a constant help as sickness and death approached.

The deceased was endowed with a warm heart toward the children, whose welfare she had always in mind. The attendance at the funeral proved that among relative and neighbor she will be long remembered. She was cheerful and loving in the face of life's problems.

She failed for the past weeks with heart trouble. She passed away Friday, July 11th at 8 o'clock in the morning.

She was the mother of seven children, one preceding her in death. The living children are: Two daughters, Mrs. Phillie Baustian and Miss Ida Schultz, and four sons, Joe, Andrew, Edward and George. The grandchildren number eight and the great-grandchildren three.

She had reached the age of 72 years, 10 months and 19 days.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. O.C. Biermann of the Lutheran church, were held from the home at 1030 East street, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment was at Hazelwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were her sons and grandsons: Joe Schultz, Andrew Schultz, Edward Schultz, George A. Schultz, Delmar Baustian and Lester Baustian.
