D.R. EDGINGTON DIES SUDDENLY FRIDAY NIGHT

Many Grinnell friends will regret to learn of the passing away of Dan Edgington of Sheffield, Iowa, Friday night. His sudden death followed a stroke.

Mr. Edgington was born in Madison township June 10, 1871, and had reached the age of 63 years.

Before moving to Cerro Gordo county in 1911 he and his family lived in the vicinity of Grinnell for several years, the last place of residence being the present home of Lester Baustian. Mr. Edgington was one of Cerro Gordo's prominent and influential farmers. He was a member of the Mason City Fair Board and served the Board as president for several years.

He leaves his wife, three sons, George, Clarence, and Floyd, all of Sheffield; two daughters, Mrs. Don Vail of Harlan, Ia., and Fae of Chicago. There are also seven grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters who are: A.A. Edgington of Marshalltown; Mrs. J.F. McConnell of Greene, Ia.; Mrs. A.C. Reams and A.J. Edgington, both of Brooklyn; besides a number of nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were three brothers, William of Peoria, Thomas of Los Angeles, and George of Grinnell.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon and burial was at Sheffield.
