OBITUARY OF MRS. JOHN SCHNECKLOTH

Elizabeth Maria Dosdall, daughter of William and Ida Dosdall, was born in Poweshiek county, Iowa, March 23rd, 1872, and passed away at Malcom on the 4th day of August 1931, having reached the age of 59 years, 4 months and 12 days. Her death came as a result of a long and serious illness.

She spent the early part of her life in Poweshiek county and on the first day of March, 1892, she was united in marriage to John N. Schneckloth. To this union were born five children, two daughters, Eva and Della, and three sons, Walter, Will and Lester.

After their marriage they resided on a farm southwest of Malcom until seven years ago at which time they moved into town and established a beautiful home.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, her mother, Mrs. Wm. Dosdall; a sister, Nettie Hanssen; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Covault and Della Coburn; three sons, Walter, Will and Lester. Beside these, eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends mourn her death.

On the 18th day of April, 1886, she turned her heart to God and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Later in her life, on November 24, 1907, she united with the Malcom Presbyterian church. All of her life has been spent in faithful service to her God whom she loved so dearly. The home which she has made has ever been an inspiration to her children and her heart marked with love and kindness shall ever live on. She has passed on from her earthly existence but she is borne anew into that great kingdom which is yet to come.

Funeral services were held from the Malcom Presbyterian church on Friday afternoon, August 7th. The Rev. C.C. Richardson, pastor of the church officiated. The pall bearers were Henry Baltisberger, James McKee, Albert Nutting, Frank Vest, Will Douglas and Charley Douglas. Perry Pyle and Mrs. Nola McClure sang a duet, and Mr. Richardson sang a solo.
