MRS. WM. DOSDALL PASSES AWAY

Ida Plager was born of Lutheran Christian parents December 31, 1850 in the village of Carinkau, Province of Posen, Germany, and passed away to the Great Beyond at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert Hanssen, Thursday morning May 26, at 5 o'clock, having attained the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 26 days.

Mrs. Dosdall came to this country in 1871 after the death of her parents. In the same year, she was united in holy wedlock to William Dosdall. The first year of married life was spent on a farm near Montezuma. In 1872 the happy couple moved to a farm in Sheridan township, where they remained together for twenty-eight years. They then retired to Malcom where they again lived on happily and undisturbed until God interferred on May 28, 1920, by calling to Himself Mr. Dosdall in death. Since then Mrs. Dosdall has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hanssen where her life was made happy by filial love and tender care.

Sickness came to Mrs. Dosdall two years ago when she was attacked with pneumonia. From this she never fully recovered, and was weakened for the last years of her life through the effect it had upon the heart. The last part of her life has been one of extreme suffering, though she was fully conscious and clear of mind until her dying hour.

Those of her family preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, one brother, and her daughter, Mrs. Schneckloth, who passed away August 4th of last year.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her daughter, Mrs. Albert Hanssen, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Mrs. Dosdall were held last Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. Albert Hanssen. The pastor of Mrs. Dosdall, the Rev. A. Thalacker, addressed the large audience present on the subject of "The Brevity of Human Life," basing his topic on Job 14:1-5, and charged all to think about it, to understand it correctly, and to have this lead them to God through the Savior. Interment was made at the Malcom cemetery.
