LYLE TIEDEMANN

Lyle Alean Tiedemann, 79, of Sarcoxie, Mo., a native of Poweshiek County, died Monday, Feb. 20, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.

Funeral services will be conducted March 3 at the Malcom Cemetery, with the Rev. Sam, Reaves officiating. A luncheon will be held following the service at the home of Mr. Tiedemann's grandson, Gean Tiedemann.

The son of Louis Earl and Ellen May Schultz Tiedemann, he was born in Madison Township where he attended school. He then worked as an auto mechanic at Hatcher's and the Ford Garage.

He entered the armed forces in November 1942 where he served as a mechanic in the European theater during World War II. He was discharged in 1944.

After living in California for most of his later years, he moved to Missouri four years ago.

Surviving are a son, Clayton of Sarcoxie; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alan; two brothers; and one sister.
