JOCELYN BLOM, 65, GRINNELL

Jocelyn Jean Jotsie Blom, 65, of Grinnell passed away April 7, 2006. Funeral services were held April 12, at the Smith Funeral. Burial was held in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Grinnell Elks Lodge.

The daugher of Francis D. and June Martina Snyder Cox, she was born Feb. 15, 1941, in Grinnell. She was raised n Grinnell and was a 1959 graduate of Grinnell High School. Following her education, she was employed at Grinnell Mutual Re-Insurance Company for a few years.

On April 6, 1964, she was married to Gary Blom, in Grinnell. The couple continued to make their home in Grinnell and she was a homemaker and assisted in running the family business, Blom & Criswell Painting and Blom Apartments. She was a member of the Grinnell United Methodist Church and Grinnell Elks Lodge.

Survivors include her husband, Gary of Grinnell; two sons, Greg and Brian Blom, both of Grinnell; one sister, Dianne Angle of Antioch, California; two nephews, Jeff Angle of Antioch and Randy Angle of Concord, Califronia; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
