RHEE AUMAN SERVICES TODAY

Rhee H. Auman, 72, formerly of Grinnell, died Monday morning at his home in Cedar Falls, Ia. He was born on Feb. 4, 1896, at Mifflintown, Pa., and was a veteran of World War I.

Mr. Auman was a salesman for the McGregor Furniture Co. in Grinnell for many years, and also aided his wife in operating the Mullins Gift Shop in Grinnell until their retirement. It was at this time that they moved to Cedar Falls to make their home.

He is survived by his widow, Esther; one brother, the Rev. Lester Auman of Spirit Lake, Ia.; and five sisters--Mrs. Elizabeth Pile of Berlin, Pa.; Mrs. Virginia Oberholtzer of Mifflintown, Pa.; Mrs. Vesta Seibert of Sioux City, Ia.; Mrs. Sarah Metcalf of Spirit Lake, Ia.; and Mrs. Verna Roggin of Sarasota, Fla.

Funeral services for Mr. Auman will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. William R. Schorman, minister of the First Congregational church (UCC) of Cedar Falls, officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Willard Heffner. Pallbearers will be Harry Bitcon, Howard Hyde, Donald E. Larsen, Harry Miller, Edd Phillips, and Clair Strand.

Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.
