CONDUCT LAST RITES FOR THOMAS EVANS

Last rites were held for Thomas Edward Evans at the Friends Church at Lynnville on Friday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. with The Rev. Peter Schuler and Rev William Oberlander officiating. Interment was in Blue Point cemetery with Harden Funeral Home of New Sharon in charge of arrangements.

Flower attendants for the services were Mrs. Jennie Dearinger, Mrs. Cliff Crews, Mrs. Lloyd Sparks and Mrs. Vern Appleton. Walter Schultz, Leo Evans, Vern Appleton, Fred Johnson, Harold Macy and Howard Macy were bearers of the casket.

Musical selections were provided by Homer McDowell and Mrs. Howard Macy.

Mr. Evans, 86, was a retired farmer from Lynnville community and died Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Tower Park nursing home. He was born December 7, 1879, at Searsboro, the son of James D. and Eliza Farmer Evans.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Jessie) Mitchell of Lynnville and Mrs. Rollo (Bess) Brignon of rural New Sharon; two sons, Ralph of Lynnville and Rex of Des Moines; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
