OBITUARY

BERT HOWARD WOOMER

Bert Howard Woomer was born in Poweshiek County, April 3rd, 1878 and died January 18th, 1956 in a Grinnell hospital.

A life-long resident of the Grinnell area, Woomer was the son of Harvey Woomer and Loretta Cratty.

He and Clare Hinegardner were married on June 16th, 1902.

Surviving the deceased are his wife; a brother, James of LeMars and a sister Mrs. Louis (Josie) Middeldorf of Beloit, Wisconsin.

The funeral service was conducted at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell on Saturday, January 21st under the supervision of the Rev. J. Lester Williams of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Donald Bitner, Archie McBlain, Clifford McCain, Vern Millgate, Raymond See and Tony Torres.

Supplying the music at the funeral service were Mrs. J. Lester Williams and James Severe.

Interment was held at Ivy Hill cemetery in Malcom.
