MABEL COOPER
Mabel Cooper, 88, of Grinnell died Friday, Jan. 19, at Friendship Manor.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
The daughter of James and Laura Hevlin Hoagland, she was born Nov. 6, 1901, near Monroe. She attended school in that community.
On July 23, 1921, she was married to Guy E. Cooper at Newton. The couple lived in Kellogg and Pella before coming to Grinnell in 1934.
A homemaker, Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Among survivors are three daughters, Eloise Otto, Ruby Teed and Loretta Durr, all of Grinnell, and three sons, Burton of Magalia, Calif., Kenneth of Grand Junction, Colo., and Donald of Grinnell.
