OBITUARY

ISABELLE PICKERING OLIVER

Isabelle Pickering Oliver was born April 13th, 1886 at Unionville, Mo., and died at Grinnell on May 16th, 1956, following a brief illness.

The daughter of Jonathan and Mary Pickering, she attended public schools in Unionville and on December 5th, 1906, was united in marriage with Willie R. Oliver at Unionville. The family moved to Grinnell in 1929.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Denvil M. and Walter of Grinnell and Maywood of Middleton, Ohio; and one daughter, Mrs. Farrell Reynolds of Springfield, Illinois.

Also surviving are one brother, Claude of Grinnell; and four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Adkins of Lancaster, Mo., Mrs. Stella Sloan of Centerville, Mrs. Dolly Sears of Greencastle, Mo., and Mrs. Ed Smith of Unionville, Mo.

Other survivors include 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 19th from Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. C.E. Kingsley, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating.

Music was provided by Mrs. Rhee Auman and pallbearers were Bill Grandstaff, Earl Foster, Harold Miller, Ross Swart, James Wallace and Webb Wallace.

Interment was at Hazelwood cemetery.
