FUNERAL SERVICES AT MONTEZUMA FOR MRS. ARTHUR SMITH

Funeral services were held at Montezuma last Tuesday for Josephine Carter Smith of Grinnell who died May 21st at a local hospital. She was 54.

Officiating was the Rev. Ralph Houghton, pastor of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God church. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Houghton. Pallbearers were Floyd LaGrange, Al Renaud, Dan Hunter, Jerry Carter and Farrell Murphy. Burial was in Jackson Township cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born April 12th, 1907, in Tennessee. She was united in marriage with Arthur R. Smith of Grinnell on May 18th, 1950, and they had made their home here for the past 11 years.

Survivors include her husband and one stepson, Jack Smith, and several other relatives.
