LAST RITES MONDAY FOR HARRY E. TINKER

Harry E. Tinker, 76, who had lived all of his life in Bear Creek township, died last Friday at Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines of complications following surgery performed the preceding Wednesday.

Funeral services were conducted at Grace Methodist church Monday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of the Rev. C.W. Woollard. Leo Shuler was organist.

Interment was in I.O.O.F. cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were C.C. Roberts, Frank Herbrandt, William Smith, Homer Ryan, Thomas Johnson and Peter De Corte. Flower attendants were Mr. and Mrs. James Manatt and Mr. and Mrs. Denver Miles.

Harry E. Tinker, son of Edwin and Keturah Francis Tinker, was born January 30, 1887, and died January 17, 1964.

On April 24, 1912, he was married to Mary Ormiston. The couple farmed in Bear Creek township until retiring and moving into Brooklyn.

Mr. Tinker was a 50-year member of the I.O.O.F. lodge and a member of Grace Methodist church.

He is survived by a son, Stuart Tinker of Des Moines; a granddaughter, Catherine; a brother, L.E. Tinker of Bettendorf and a sister, Mrs. Martha Godbey of Ft. Madison.

Preceding him in death were his wife in 1962; his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Nola Doty and Mrs. Eva Brannian.
