KAREN FULAYTER SERVICES HELD

Mrs. Karen Ann Fulayter, 27, the wife of Timothy F. Fulayter of 410 Washington Street, died early Friday morning at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines following a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Joe Henry and Mabel Maxine Barnhart Watson and was born in Grinnell on June 7, 1944. She attended the Searsboro schools and was graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School in 1961. Later she attended Humboldt Business College in Minneapolis and returned to Grinnell to work for the Grinnell Herald-Register. She also was employed at the White Spot and at Cunningham Drug Store. She also attended the Iowa Commission for the Blind school in Des Moines. On August 3, 1970, she was married to Timothy F. Fulayter in Newton, and since their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Fulayter have made their home in Grinnell. She is survived by her husband; her parents; her grandmother, Mrs. Fred Watson of Searsboro; and one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Charles (Katherine) Arment of Grinnell, Dennis Watson of Ankeny, and Douglas Watson of Iowa City.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. this afternoon at the Smith Funeral Home, with John Brodene, officiating. Pallbearers were Dennis Watson, Douglas Watson, Charles Arment, Merril Barnhart, Kenneth Kasheimer, and Larry Kasheimer. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery at Serasboro.
