MRS. MOORE DIES IN OSKALOOSA

Della T. Moore, 77, died May 10 at Pleasant Park Manor in Oskaloosa. Her funeral was May 13 at Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma with the Rev. Douglas Smiley of Community Christian Church in Barnes City officiating. Burial was in Sheley Cemetery in Poweshiek County.

Merrill Womach sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee." Casket bearers were John Moore, Delmar Davis, Richard Moore, Edward Moore, Lyle D. Davis and Wayne DeHoedt.

Mrs. Moore was born April 12, 1908, at Ewart. She was the daughter of Dave L. and Ethel M. Barnes Smith and attended Garfield Elementary and Montezuma High School. On July 13, 1925, she married Charles H. Moore at the Christian church in Oskaloosa. They lived in Barnes City and her husband died in 1971. Mrs. Moore moved to Oskaloosa in 1981. She was a member of Barnes City Community Christian Church. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Viola Lamb; five grandchildren and a sister, Sylvia Light.

She is survived by her family: LaVerna and Jack Nelson of Oskaloosa, Joyce Eakins of Columbus, N.M., Marvin and Linda Moore of Barnes City, Don and Janice Moore of Lead Hill, Ark., Harold and Hilda Moore of Columbus, Ga., Colleen and Wayne DeHoedt of Barnes City, James and Jo Ann Moore of Barnes City, June and Junior Den Hartog of Lead Hill, Ark. and Carolyn and Tom Thomson of Fairfield; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers: Oral Smith of Iowa City, Burnis Smith and Allen Eugene Smith of Marshalltown; three sisters: Viola Hightower of Oskaloosa, Margaret Bell of Denver, Col. and Betty Brandenhorst of Oskaloosa.
