WARREN BRODERS

Warren J. Broders, 78, of Grinnell died Sunday, July 20, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Green of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Smith Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was born June 21, 1918, in Deep River to Elmer and Mae Schultz Broders. He was raised in Sheridan Township and lived in rural Malcom, Des Moines and Grinnell.

Mr. Broders was engaged in farming for many years and was also employed by Farmhand and Cargill. Most recently he worked part time for Paul's True Value and Wes Finch.

He was married to Doris Kroehnke Feb. 20, 1941, in Nashua.

Surviving are his wife; four children, Lanny of El Toro, Calif., Peggy Lapsley of Dallas, Texas, Barbara Kline of Grinnell, Marcia Parker of Discovery Bay, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Russell and Merle.

Memorial contributions in his name may be left at the Smith Funeral Home.
