FUNERAL SERVICES ARE HELD HERE FOR DELENIOUS DONLOUIE

Funeral services for Delenious Donlouie, farmer in the Grinnell area for many years, were held Wednesday afternoon from Smith Funeral Home with Elder Fred Phipps of LeGrand officiating.

Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bell, Jr. and pallbearers were Albert Deppe, W.E. Deppe, A.H. Landis, Willis Osborn, Charles Simbro and Joe Willemsen. Interment was in Rock Creek cemetery in Jasper County.

Mr. Donlouie died Sunday, June 26, at a local hospital following a two-week illness. He was 88 years old.

Native of Kentucky, he came to the Grinnell community 23 years ago from Wayne County, Ky. He was married 63 years ago in Kentucky to Orlena Elizabeth Bell, who died ten years ago.

Since coming to Iowa, he has made his home with his foster grandson, Marvin Cooper, near Kellogg.

Three brothers and a twin sister preceded him in death, leaving one sister, Mrs. Thomas Phipps of Kokomo, Ind., and five nephews, six nieces, the one foster grandson, four foster great grandchildren and two great great foster grandchildren, to mourn his loss, besides a host of friends.

He united with Bethel church of Parmleysville, Ky., and remained a faithful member throughout his life.
