JOHN REHDER BURIED FRIDAY IN GRINNELL

John Rehder of Grinnell, long time tailor and genial good citizen died in the Hines Veterans hospital from an incurable disease. Funeral services were said in Grinnell Friday afternoon. Mrs. W.A. Boyd of Deep River is a daughter. Mr. Rehder was born in Germany and came to this country when 19 years of age. He was an excellent citizen and took active part in lodge work. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American war and was popular in all circles.

Mr. Rehder previous to this country's entry in World War I did considerable advertising, calling himself the "German Rehder." However, when it became apparent that Germany was in the wrong, he stopped that advertising and went all out for his adopted country.
