MARGARET WALKER SERVICES FRIDAY

Mrs. Margaret Board Walker, 74, the wife of Glenn Walker of 603 Eight Ave., Grinnell, died Tuesday morning at Grinnell General Hospital East. She had been in poor health the past few months.

Born Feb. 14, 1894, near Montezuma, she was the daughter of A. Sam and Elizabeth Grattan Board. She was one of ten children.

Following her education, she was united in marriage with Arthur Glenn Walker on March 22, 1919, at Grinnell. To the couple were born two sons--Arthur E. Walker, now of Chicago, and Charles W. Walker of Lompoc, Calif.

In addition to her husband and two sons, Mrs. Walker is survived by a grandson, Jeffrey Walker of Lompoc; three brothers--George of Grinnell, John and Cecil of near Geneva, N.Y.; and two sisters--Mrs. Kenneth (Sadie) Beardslee of Interlaken, N.Y., and Mrs. Edward (Myrtle) Haag of Geneva, N.Y. She was preceded in death by two brothers--Ernest and Frank Board--and two sisters--Mrs. Rachel Tills and Mrs. Josephine Conley.

Mrs. Walker and her husband have been residents of Grinnell since 1935.

Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. Eugene Young, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist church, officiating.

Organist will be Mrs. Willard Heffner, and casket bearers will be Denver Walker, Carl Paxson, Carl Child, Henry Bitcon, William Bitcon, and Brook Lamb. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.
