JOHN E. BOARD SERVICES HELD

John E. Board, 79, of Seneca Falls, N.Y., a native of Grinnell, died July 23.

Funeral services were held July 26 at the Sanderson Funeral Home.

The son of Samuel A. and Elizabeth Gratton Board, he was born Dec. 28, *1895, in Grinnell. He was a farmer most of his life, and was a member of the American Legion and the Grange. He served in France with the U.S. Army during World War I.

Mr. Board is survived by his wife, Violet Hardy Board, and two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Sadie) Beardslee and Mrs. Edward (Myrtle) Haag.
