GAYLORD TRUMBEL

Gaylord Trumbel, 84, of Elkhorn, Wis., formerly of Grinnell, died Thursday, Dec. 1, at Holton Manor Nursing Home in Elkhorn.

Graveside services were conducted Saturday at Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Lon Lewis, pastor of the Grinnell United Methodist Church, officiating.

The son of George and Nell Trumbel, he was born July 13, 1910, in Grinnell where he was raised and educated.

He was married to Viola G. McCarrell Oct. 4, 1935, in Davenport. They lived in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Mr. Trumbel was a retired chief flight service specialist with the Federal Aviation Administration.

He is surived by one son, David of Richmond, Ill.; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
