GRINNELL RESIDENT, GEORGE TRUMBEL, DIES IN WISCONSIN

George S. Trumbel, 84, of 1421 Summer St., Grinnell, died Saturday at a hospital in Richland Center, Wis.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne Shireman, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

A resident of Grinnell since childhood, he had been employed by the old Laros Buggy Factory as an upholsterer. He farmed in the Grinnell community from 1911 to 1928 and for a number of years was employed by the Sears-Roebuck farm store in Oskaloosa.

For the past two months, he and his wife had been living with their son, Gaylord Trumbel of Lone Rock, Wis.

Survivors include his widow, Nell; his son Gaylord; one grandson, David; and a great granddaughter.
