FUNERAL TUESDAY FOR MRS. PRICE SHAW

Sylvia L. Shaw, wife of Price Shaw of Malcom, died Saturday evening at a Grinnell hospital following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Malcom Methodist church. Officiating was the Rev. James T. Robinson. Interment was at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Malcom.

The daughter of William E. and Alta Bagwell Dykes, she was born July 6, 1914, at Princeton, Mo. She attended the schools of that commmunity and at the age of 17 moved to the Malcom community.

On Dec. 17, 1932, at Princeton, Mo., she was married to Price Shaw. They had resided at Malcom since their marriage.

She was a member of the Malcom Methodist church.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by her husband, Price; two daughters, Mrs. James (Sybil) Puls of Malcom and Mrs. Wayne (Mertie) Kinnaird of Brooklyn; two sons, Preston and Bill Shaw, both of Malcom; five grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Alta Boring of Malcom; and a brother, Virgil Dykes of Langley, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Dykes; a brother, Vernie; and an infant brother and sister.
