ELSIE KING RITES TODAY

Elsie Marie King, 89, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, at St. Francis Manor.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel Ogata, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Organist was Kathleen Heffner, and pallbearers were John Barr, Marty Garr, Willard Hagen, Howard Jones, Jim Miller and Keith Paulson. Honorary bearers were James Guthrie, Shel Criswell and Duane Phipps.

Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery.

The daughter of Judd and Emma Curtis LaGrange, she was born June 7, 1895, in Grinnell. She attended Grinnell schools and graduated from Grinnell High School. She worked in Des Moines and San Diego, Calif., before returning to Grinnell.

She was married to Homer Hart Rollins, and they farmed in the Rock Creek Lake area. Following Mr. Rollins' death, she was married to J. Russell King. They continued to live in the Rock Creek area. Mr. King died in 1957, and she came to Grinnell.

There are no immediate survivors. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; four sisters, Marjorie Lacy, Millie Grubb, Ruby Anderson and Addie Spears; and one brother, Floyd LaGrange.
