FLOYD HULBERT RITES FRIDAY

Floyd E. Hulbert, 73, of Hampton, Ill., died Wednesday in Hampton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel I. Ogata, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The son of Thomas M. and Jennie See Hulbert, he was born in March of 1903 in Grinnell. He attended public schools here. In 1925, he was married to Betty Judkins in Glenwood, Minn. The couple had one son, Richard.

Mr. Hulbert owned and trained harness racing horses and was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association, the Illinois Harness Horse Association, and the Minnesota Harness Horse Association.

He is survived by his wife Betty; his son, F. Richard Hulbert of Hampton, Ill.; and one sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Velma) Orton of Minneapolis, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hill Seward and Mrs. Ethel Revell.
