WHITTAKER FUNERAL IS HELD WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Fannie Whittaker of Minneapolis, Minn., passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dan Kingery, at Seymour, Iowa, August 7, 1930. Mrs. Whittaker was born in Poweshiek county, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Satchell on January 29, 1858. She was aged 72 years, 7 months and 16 days.

She was united in marriage to Eli Whittaker February 20, 1879, and for a number of years they lived in Grinnell. Later in 1886 they moved to Minneapolis, Minn. To this union were born three children, a daughter, Mrs. Dan Kingery of Seymour, a son, Bernard Whittaker of Seattle, Wash., and another daughter who died in infancy. Her husband passed away about 28 years ago.

She is survived by her son and daughter; her sister Mrs. J.W. Rehder of Grinnell; two brothers, L.W. Satchell of Riverside, Calif., and M.N. Satchell of Grand View, Mo.; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

While living in Grinnell Mrs. Whittaker was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the J.W. Rehder home, 521 Park street, conducted by Rev. H.L. Wissler. Burial was in Hazelwood.

Pall bearers were W.J. Nelson, F.W. Sprung, A.F. Swaney, George Brown, Frank Child and Tom Eastridge. Singers were Mrs. Roscoe Dempster and Rev. G.L. Simcox.
