FRIDAY MORNING SERVICES FOR FANNIE MARSH, 93

Mrs. Fannie Marsh, 93, Grinnell, died Tuesday morning at a local nursing home following an extended illness.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Helen Turner of the Mayflower Home officiating. Organ music will be provided by Mrs. Rhee Auman.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Decatur, Lawrence Decatur, Willard Wells, Bob Bowen, Ben Buck and Bill Marsh. Burial will be in Chester cemetery.

She was born Jan. 24, 1869, in Chester Center, the daughter of Samuel Cornelius and Lydia Chase Carter of Tama. She had lived in Iowa all of her life mostly in and around Grinnell and the Chester Center neighborhood, except for two years spent in South Dakota when she was a girl and six years in Missouri.

On Oct. 31, 1894, she was united in marriage with Ira Paul Marsh of Grinnell, who died in 1951. Survivors include her three children: Mrs. F. Mildred Roderick, presently of Grinnell; Mrs. William E. Bowen of Omaha, Neb.; and Raymond P. Marsh of Ewart.

Also surviving are six grandchildren: T/Sgt. Orville L. Roderick, Jr., of the United States Air Force; William R. Bowen of Iowa City; Barbara and John Bowen of Omaha, Neb.; and Robert Bowen and William D. Marsh of Grinnell.

Mrs. Marsh was a Congregationalist.
