GRACE COTTER DIES IN WEST; SERVICES HERE

Grace E. Cotter, 80, of Pasadena, Calif., a former Poweshiek county resident, died Sunday, April 12th, at a Pasadena nursing home. She had been in poor health the past several years.

Requiem Low Mass will be held at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic church here with the Rev. L.V. Kuebrich, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery at Searsboro and pallbearers will be Carl Child, John Hotchkin, John McDowell, Ray Pieper, Joseph Schmidt and William Schmidt.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 Friday evening at the Smith Funeral Home.

She was the daughter of John and Anna Swan Cotter and was born at Searsboro on Feb. 22nd, 1884. She attended the Searsboro schools, the old Grinnell Academy and Des Moines Business College.

Miss Cotter worked for a time at the Citizens National Bank in Grinnell and also worked in Des Moines and Manchester. In California, she had been employed in San Francisco and Pasadena in the Bank of America offices. She had made her home in Pasadena since the middle forties.

Preceding her in death were her parents and six sisters.

Survivors include two nieces, Miss Wilma Scott of Engelwood, Colo., and Mrs. Helen Lyman of Des Moines; and one nephew, David Moody of Ames.
