OBITUARY

At the home of her grandparents in this city on Lord's day evening, July 26th, departed this life Miss Grace Almeda Applegate, aged 19 years, 7 months and 5 days. She was born in Jasper county. When quite young she gave her Heart to God and was buried with her Lord in baptism at West Liberty Church of Christ.

Some ten days before her death she was taken violently ill and although cared for by loving hands and attended by two of our leading physicians who gave her the most attentive care, tired nature gave up the struggle and our young sister sank to rest.

The funeral services were conducted by Elder J.H. Stark from the Church of Christ on Monday, July 27, at one o'clock, in the presence of a large concourse of people after which the remains were taken to West Liberty and gently laid to rest to await the resurrection morn.

The deceased was a young lady of much promise and had many friends.

She leaves a father, two sisters and grandparents and a host of friends to mourn her decease.
