Obituary

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 22, at the Christian Church at 2:30 for Mrs. Cifford Gerard, who passed away December 20, at the Community Hospital in Grinnell. Rev. Donald E. Skiles and Rev. C.B. Ball of the Assembly of God, were in charge of the service. Mrs. Bone and Mrs. Ravitts sang "In the Garden" and "Ivory Palaces" accompanied by Alice Underwood. Burial was in the local cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harold, Homer, Paul and Emil Gerard, Edward Anderson and Eldred Gross.

OBITUARY

Margaret Sarah Gilbreath was born May 9, 1910, at Montezuma and passed away December 20, 1943, at 2 o'clock at the Community Hospital in Grinnell, after a few hours of illness.

She was united in marriage to Clifford P. Gerard on November 23, 1929. To this union two children were born, who have preceded their mother in death.

Margaret had lived around Montezuma until moving to Grinnell about eight years ago where she had been employed at the Glove Factory and the J.C. Penney Store.

She was baptised in the Christian Church at Montezuma.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Gerard, of the U.S. Navy stationed at Farragut, Idaho; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Gilbreath and one brother, Edward, of Newton; also other relatives and a host of friends.
